Recurring costs, in plain English

Less jargon. More clarity about your subscriptions.

01

Recurring spend

Costs charged on a repeating schedule, such as monthly streaming or annual software fees. A recurring-spend projection is an estimate at current entered prices, not a forecast of future vendor prices.

02

Billing cycle

How often a service charges you. Renewra currently supports monthly and annual USD records. An annual bill can be divided by 12 for comparison, but the vendor may still charge the whole amount at once.

03

Auto-renewal

A subscription that renews without a new purchase decision. The conditions depend on the provider and contract. Review the applicable terms before assuming cancellation timing or refund eligibility.

04

Decision date

A planning deadline before renewal. If a contract requires 30 days' cancellation notice, your decision date should be at least 30 days before renewal. Always verify the actual contract requirement.

05

SaaS

Software as a Service: software accessed as an ongoing service, commonly on a subscription. Examples include project-management, design, and communications tools.

06

Potential savings and ROI

Potential savings estimate the cost of records you may choose to stop or change. Savings are not realized until an action takes effect with the provider. ROI compares an assumed benefit with an assumed fee; it depends on your inputs and is not a promised return.
